The one question to ask yourself to go from "I can't do it" to "I'm doing it".

If you're anything like me and many of my clients, you'll have said this at least once on your entrepreneurial journey:
"I can't do it!"
I have some good news. You can.
Before you stop reading because you think I'm going to tell you to believe in yourself blah, blah, blah, I'm not. Belief is for another day.
What I will say is that, without any shadow of a doubt, you can do whatever you can imagine. So next time you hear your inside or outside voice telling you to quit, give up, stop wasting your time because you just can't do it, tune into that voice and the sinking feeling in your chest and pay attention to it. Instead of trying to ignore the voice or silence it, listen to it. Have you ever noticed that someone will stop bugging you about something, ONLY once you've acknowledged and listened to them? Your own voice is no different. The more you try to ignore it and push it away, the louder it gets and the more it bothers you. So when you hear your own voice telling you can't do something, and you get that tight, heavy feeling in your chest, ask yourself this:
"What exactly do I mean by "I can't I do it?"
It's a simple question, but one that gets to the heart of the matter quickly. When we feel we can't do something, that is almost never the case. There is something rumbling deep inside our minds that is causing havoc in our thought patterns and our ability to move forward.
Once you know what you really mean, your perspective changes instantly. When you understand what you mean you'll realize you have options. And when you have options, you can explore them, hash a simple plan (the simpler the better), and get back to work.
This is the power of a success mindset at play.
Taking yourself from "I can't do it" to "I have options so that I am able to do this", puts you back in the driving seat so that you can keep moving forward. Do this enough, and your mind will start to do it automatically.
When I say "You can do anything you can imagine", I'm not kidding! You really can. Sometimes it takes a gentle prod to your mind to redirect your thought patterns and build your success mindset.
But whatever 'it' is, you CAN do it!
It's mindset - not strategy - that gets your business off the ground and thriving.
