Are you stuck in that cycle of never making progress and instead, you sign up for every free webinar and masterclass on Facebook, take course after course believing that after each one you'll feel more 'ready' (but you never do), and you feel as though you need whatever new tool claims to make you an overnight success?
If this sounds familiar, let's talk.
Here's a cold, hard truth. What you need to start and grow your business isn't in any course, webinar, tool, or even a MBA! What you need to start and grow your business is a truck-load of courage, the compassion to forgive yourself when you screw up (because you will), and the raw determination to keep going until you make it. That's it, that's all. It sounds simple doesn't it? Well it is. But it's not easy.
So often, this is what happens. To get a business up and growing, it's common to believe this is what is needed: Clarity - Confidence/Self-belief - Action - Results. But this is how it works in practice. In search of clarity, we turn to the webinars, courses, and 'get-rich-quick' strategies we see on the internet. But instead of clarity, we get more confused, overwhelmed, and discouraged. The confidence we expect to feel never comes so we turn back to taking more courses and searching for more strategies in the hopes of finding clarity. We never actually make it as far as taking action. This cycle goes on and on until we give in, burn out, or get some help!
So what would be a better way of approaching your business launch and growth?
This: Courage - Action - Clarity - Confidence/Self-belief - Consistent effort - Results.
Think about a baby learning to walk. They don't sit on their cute little bums for the first year of their lives, thinking about trying to walk. They're gutsy little things, so they just start trying. First they roll over, then they push themselves up, then they crawl, then they hold onto furniture until one day, they just start walking. Babies learn to walk by trying to walk! Through trial and error, they learn what works and what doesn't. And it's that constant getting up after falling down that makes their legs strong enough to hold them so that they can walk.
Now it's your turn.
Courage is the thing you need first. And nothing outside you will ever give you courage: Only you can find that. Once you find the courage to take action, clarity will come. Once you have clarity, you gain confidence. Once you feel confident, you keep going until you get the result you want. No courses, no fancy strategies, no MBAs.
Everything you need to succeed is already inside you.
It really is as simple as that.
